The Windy City Bags 50 was the main
event for the Mod Squad on the evening. The front row saw
the Ohio Rocket Kyle Jones and the 2007 Series Champion Bob
Curry on the outside pole position. Kyle Jones took off as
soon as Chicken Little waved the green flag with 25,000
people standing on their feet. Bob Curry was running hard
second until around lap 39 when he got together with Dan
Friazier retiring the 98 car for the rest of the night. With
Kyle Jones waxing the field for the first 40 laps that put
Brad Springer second and on his back bumper for the rest of
the and unable to get around Jones for the win. Kyle took
his second win in two tries over Springer, Scott Tomasik,
Mike Carroll, Scott Coe, Brian Nester, Joe Axsom, Ken
O’Conner, Jason Timmerman, Mike Hadley, John Long, John
Mamula, Damon Breedlove, Dan Frazier, and Tom Jewell
rounding out the top 15 cars.
