Travis Eddy wins Modified Madness
presented by Dart
Nineteen modifieds from Indiana, Ohio, & Michigan, visited Auto
City Speedway Saturday for Modified Madness, presented by DART.
Travis Eddy started out setting fast time of 16.21, followed by
Brad Springer, Mike Luberta Sr., Brian Nester, and Tony Brabbs.
Brad Springer would take the victory in the Cometic Gasket dash.
Nick Clemons was the winner of the Howe Racing Enterprises heat
race. After the draw for starting positions was done, it put
Tony Brabbs & Travis Eddy on the front row. When the green flew
from honorary starter Bud Keating, from DART, it was Brabbs
jumping in to the lead with Eddy chasing. On lap 8, it was Eddy
jumping into the lead. The car on the move was 21 of Nick
Clemons from his 9th starting position. Caution flew
on lap 27 when O’Reilly USA Modified points leader Scott Tomasik
appeared to break something in the right front. When the green
flew again, it was Clemons and 8th place starter
Brian Nester making their way to the front, but time ran out,
giving Travis Eddy the victory. The O’Reilly USA Modified Series
returns to action on July 4th at Berlin Raceway in
Marne, Michigan, for a $1200.00 to win show.
