Bud Perry wins
Firebottle 50
at Winchester
Speedway
29 of the best
asphalt modifieds around invaded Winchester speedway on Sunday
for the running of the Firebottle 50. Qualifing started out with
Scott Tomasik setting the pace with a 16.494 followed by Brad
Springer at 16.505 Kyle Jones16.540,Chad Poole16.557and Mike
Carroll at a 16.582.Scott Tomasik would win the Cometic Gasket
Dash withJeff Lane &Brad Yelton picking up heat race wins.After
the draw was done it was Jeff Lane & Ross Klingelhofer on the
front row. As the green flew it was Scott Tomasik & Mike Stacy
Moving through the pack bring Brian Nester with Them. Bud Perry
Gained the lead on lap 10 With Tomasik & Stacy moving up fast.
Scott Tomasik overtook Perry For the lead on lap 27 Bringing
Mike Stacy with him. The two would do battle running side by
side for the next 12 laps going down the backstretch with 18 to
go contact was made sending Tomasik hard into the outside wall.
Mike Stacy was put to the rear of the field by USA Modified
Officials. When the race continued it was Bud Perry holding on
for the win Kyle Jones would finish 2nd Brad Springer
3rd Mike Carroll 4th and Brian Nester
rounding out the top 5. 6th through 10 were Ross
klingelhofer,Don Skaggs,Rob Yelton,Joe Axsom and Damon
Breedlove. 11th through 20 were Tim Burkett,Steve
Foster, Brad Yelton,Ali Kerr, Scott Reeser,Mel Klein,Terri
Popielarz,Tony Dager, Al Casselman,Chad Poole.20 through 26 were
Nick Diano,Mike Stacy,Scott Tomasik,Jeff Lane,Brock Coyer and
Quay Gregory. Hard charger was Brian Nester . Howe hard luck
award went to Jeff Lane,UB Machine 10th place Damon
Breedlove. Landrum Spring Driver of the race Bud Perry.
Stephens&Hull move of the race Brad Springer.Outerwears 15th
place Scott Reeser. Cometic Gasket dash winner Scott
Tomasik.Aero Wheel 7th place Don Skaggs. Joes racing
