conquers the high banks of Winchester Speedway
39 cars were on hand for a chance to make the starting field for
the run for the gun presented by firebottle. The weekend started
out on Friday with practice with 27 cars on hand getting tuned
up for Saturday. On Saturday the day started out with practice
with Mike Stacy, Tim Burkett,Brad springer,Scott Tomasik and Rob
Yelton At the top of the charts.The second hot lap session had
Bud Perry,Brad Springer,Joe axsom,Rob Yelton and Ross
Klingelhofer being the quickest. Qualifing was up next with Brad
Springer setting a new track record at 16.310,Scott Tomasik
16.421,Kyle Jones 16.492,Tim Burkett 16.552 and Brian Nester
16.623 34 cars took qualifying times. After the draw for
starting position was done the top 8 were Joe axsom, Kyle
Jones,Tim Burkett,Rob Yelton,Scott Tomasik,Mike Carroll,Brad
Springer And Brian Nester. When the green flag flew it was Kyle
jones jumping to the lead but the yellow flew with the field
going into three. The caution was for a three car incident with
Jeff Lane unable to continue. When the green flew again It was
Kyle Jones again jumping into the lead And Brad Springer quickly
moving up Springer caught the leader on lap15 racing side by
side for several laps.On lap 36 Joe axsome had a parts failure
putting him hard into turn 1 wall as the cars crossed the line
Springer and Jones were side by side with Springer being scored
as the leader.When the green came back out Mike Stacy was on the
move from his 16th starting position. There was a
battle for every position on the race track. When the checkerd
flew it was Brad Springer With Kyle Jones,Tim Burkett making a
coming to the checkerd pass to finish third with Scott Tomasik
and Mike Stacy Rounding out the top five.
