SECOND ANNUAL “KING of the MODS” SATURDAY AT KALAMAZOO 08.23.08…Kalamazoo, MI… The second annual “King of the Mods” race will be held this Saturday, August 23rd at Kalamazoo Speedway during “Modified Mania” Over forty cars are expected to try and take this years crown and the $2500 pay off. Last years winner, local Brian Bergakker of Lowell, MI will be back to challenge USA Modified regulars, current point leader Scott Coe, Kyle Jones, Tim Burkett, Damon Breedlove, and Dan Frazier. It will not be easy, as Bergakker showed the tour racers last year how it is done with a commanding performance of speed and driving ability on the challenging 3/8 mile track. Other local racers, Harry Foote, Brent Hook, Chris Orr, Brent Shook, and AJ Foote will all be on hand to try and race into modified history by claiming their crown as “King of the Mods”. Also one of the best Super Late Model races in the country, “The Klash” will be held at this Wed. August 20th at Kalamazoo Speedway’s. Mike Carroll wins at ORP 08.09.08…Clermont, IN…It was “UAW Night” at the O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indy last Saturday Night and the race fans were ready for some good ole Mod racing….. and that is just what they got!
Bud Perry takes the checkers at Baer Field Speedway 08.09.08….Ft. Wayne, IN….It was “International Gold Cup” Night at Baer Field Speedway, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Saturday night. The huge crowd had packed Tom Isch’s race track to see some of the best racing in the Mid-west along with a fire works display that would make the 4th of July look like a sparkler.
O’Reilly USA Modified’s “Double Duty” Race Weekend
07.28.08…The O’Reilly USA Modified Series will do “Double Duty” August 8th and 9th 2008 at two different race tracks in central Indiana. First on tap will be the 11th Annual “International Night” at Tom Isch’s Baer Field Speedway located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. One day later the Mod Tour will be featured at “UAW Night” to be held at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis. Both races will feature Open Wheeled Modified Stars, Current Point Leader and Ohio native Kyle Jones, Ft. Wayne’s Scott Coe, and Tim Burkett, Indy’s own Scotty Tomasik, Damon Breedlove, and Joe Axsom, along with a host of others, all hungry for a Win! In addition to the Standard purse for Friday’s Race, the Kline Family has put up extra money for the Saturday race in memory of Michael Kline and Nick Feltes. Brian Nester Wins "The Big One" at Winchester Speedway
Winchester Speedway Presents “The BIG ONE” USA/AMS MODIFIEDS 07.14.08…Winchester IN…Charlie Shaw’s Historic Winchester Speedway will be the site of the fastest open wheeled modified race to hit the Midwest. This event, Staring the “Mod Stars” of the American Modified Series and the USA Modified Series, in a no holds barred, race to the finish, at the famed ½ mile High Bank track located just west of Winchester, Indiana. AMS “Stars” current point leader, Chad Poole, along with Mike Carroll, Bud Perry, Greg Stapleton, and Brad Yelton will challenge USA “Stars” current point leader, Kyle Jones, along with Scott Coe, Brad Springer, Tim Burkett, and Scott Tomasik. Over fifty high powered mods are expected with two twenty five lap qualifiers to set the fifty lap main event. This is the “Race of all Races” that will determine who will win “The BIG ONE” Also on the ticket for Sunday’s “The BIG ONE” will be the CRA Street Stock 40, the CRA FWD 20 and a Very Special Event….”Extreme Street Bikes” will do speed tricks on the front stretch. Ben Raber Wins at Anderson 07.08.08…Anderson, IN…The O’Reilly USA Modified Series roared into Anderson Speedway Saturday night for a big 50 Lap feature event. Twenty four of the best modifieds in the Mid-west were on hand to try and conquer the famed quarter mile high banks. Fans were treated to one of the best shows ever.

Steve Minich Jr. WINS FAYGO 100 at AMS (Angola, IN) The O'Reilly USA Mods invaded the Angola Motor Speedway this past Saturday with putting on a heck of a show. The Faygo 100 was set to be the biggest race of the year for the O'Reilly USA Mods. When it was all said and done it would be an Angola regular stealing the show for his first ever O'Reilly USA Mod win.
A Long Afternoon Equals a Long Win! (Toledo, Oh) The O'Reilly USA Modifieds motor on in to the Toledo Speedway for a Sunday afternoon racing program. Many of the O'Reilly drivers, fans, and officials were suffering from a racing hang over from the previous night at their local short tracks. The weather was picture perfect with a season high 35 cars packed in the Toledo Speedway pit area.

Kyle Jones wins Salem
Salem, IN The O’Reilly USA Mods were at the world famous Salem Speedway to tame the wicked half mile monster. The Mod Squad was out in full force with 24 hot rods in the pit area all itching to race after two rain outs to open the 2008 racing season. The O’Reilly USA Mods joined the ARA Limited Late Models, Salem Street Stocks, and Super Stocks for the full 4-1 program.
